THE ROLLING STONES AT GLASTONBURY 2024
Joshua Thompson
This might seem farfetched, but there's some logic to this thought (and a lot of hopeful thinking...)
Are the Rolling Stones heading to Glastonbury 2024?
Obviously there are no patterns when it comes to artists who are confirmed for playing at Worthy Farm and, while this years tickets sold out almost four months ago in November 2023, everyone is still very much in the dark about who they may or may not get the chance to see live.
The Rolling Stones last played Glastonbury in 2013 where they headlined the Pyramid Stage to thousands of festival goers and, even though frontman Mick Jagger was about to turn 60 that year, it didn't stop it being an iconic performance with hit after hit.
That said, the band have recently announced a 2024 tour this year and even though there are plenty of other artists who are more likely to be in the mix, it doesn't quite rule out The Stones. The tour dates released from the band are all in summer this year and oddly enough do leave a 2 day slot spare, suspiciously over the Glastonbury weekend...
This will come as no surprise but the suspicion does come with one small caveat and needs taking with a pinch of salt as the dates that have been announced are actually all in the U.S.A.
BUT, that doesn't mean it's a complete no as stranger things have happened. PLUS, with Mick Jagger surely being able to fork out for a flight for a couple of nights to Somerset...
Here's hoping!
